Peppermint Leaf

Therapeutic Properties:

Supports digestive flow and smooth muscle relaxation within the gut. Peppermint helps calm spasms and supports more comfortable movement through the digestive tract. But more importantly, it allows the other ingredients to work more effectively.

Mechanism of Action:
Helps the small bowel relax and settle temporarily, which can reduce irritation and create a smoother pathway for the other polyphenols (quebracho + horse chestnut) to do their work.

Quebracho Extract

Therapeutic Properties:

It is one of the largest, most stable polyphenols that can absorb hydrogen (the fuel that the methane-producing microbes rely on). In addition, it has a natural defence against the type of organism (Archaea) that produces methane. This is how it reduces bloating and gas buildup and why it is so unique and effective.

Mechanism of Action:
Acts as a hydrogen “sink” — binding excess hydrogen so there’s less available to be converted into methane or hydrogen sulfide by microbes.

Horse Chestnut

Therapeutic Properties:

Contains naturally occurring saponins that eliminate hydrogen-producing bacteria and block the enzyme that produces methane.

Mechanism of Action:
Supports Atrantil’s goal of reducing methane/hydrogen-sulfide activity by helping disrupt microbial mechanisms linked to gas production — and encouraging microbes to relocate to where they belong (colon), improving overall balance.

Polyphenols That Keep Working

All three ingredients in Atrantil are plant polyphenols and work synergistically by addressing different parts of the bloating cycle:
